A place where all the cooking, dining & entertaining happens is bound to get messy! It’s essential that the heart of the house is always kept clean & healthy! We’ve listed a few handy tips and product recommendations to help make kitchen clean-up a breeze.

• Make cleaning the kitchen a breeze by working from top to bottom, making sure all the dirt is swept downwards so it can be easily swept up from the floor.
• Fill your sink with hot soapy water as you start dinner, letting the used pans & dishes soak while you eat. The KRESS Kleen® army of Stainless Steel Scourers will complete the rest of the job with ease.
• When wet, they sanitize and cleanfloors, counters, glass and tile, and eliminate the need for other cleaning products. Use any one of the KRESS Kleen® Microfibre Cloths. They’re a cut above the competition, machine washable and very affordable.
• When you notice your drain is starting to clog, down a half cup of baking soda, followed by a half cup of vinegar. Cover with a wet cloth to contain the science fair-like effects ? Wait five minutes and then flush with hot water.
• Make the messy interiors of your microwave easier to clean by heating a cup of water and a chopped-up lemon on high until the microwave’s window is steamy. Let the bowl sit for 15 minutes before you open the door, and a KRESS Kleen® Sponge Cloth will do the rest.
• Remove tough baked-on messes from pans with the KRESS Kleen® “RADIAL” Dish brush which also has rubber bristles to clean non-stick and glass.

Believe it or not, there’s a right way to sweep & mop, which a lot of people still do incorrectly. Also, knowing how to pick the right accessory for the job is what makes the difference most of the time

• For indoors, choose a broom with finer bristles & flagged tips to pick up even extra fine dust! And for outdoors, go for stronger, stiffer bristles, which work better to clear porous surfaces.
• To sweep, hold the broom like a canoe paddle, and push your hands in opposite directions to get the most out of every sweeping stroke. Sweep from the outside in so that you don’t miss any spots, and move the dirt to the centre of the room, where it will be easy to pick up.
• Reduce dust ‘clouding’ byspraying a little window cleaner into any KRESS Kleen® broom to keep dust and pethair from clouding when sweeping!
• Pick the proper dustpan. Minimize that annoying line of dust by choosing any KRESS Kleen® dustpan all of which have a soft rubber lip for easier debris pickup.
• Always store brooms head up. It makes them easier to find & protects the bristles. Alternatively, you could hang your broom via the convenient hook at the end of the handle for proper storage making sure the head is not resting on the floor.
• Know your wet mops! Cut-end cotton mops are absorbent & economical but leave lint & cover less surface area. The highly durable looped-end mops are tail banded for better floor coverage & reduced linting, and are 100% launderable. Microfibre mops are more absorbent & efficient than their cotton counterparts.
• Get the right mop moves to get a deep clean. For best performance from your cotton mop, use a figure-eight motion.
• To help prevent bacteria growth, always wash your mops thoroughly after use, wring & store head up in a well ventilated area (preferably outdoors) to dry. Alternatively, you could hang your mop via the convenient hook at the end of the handle for proper storage making sure the mop head is not resting on the floor.

Cleaning the toilet probably doesn’t come close to topping your list of favourite activities, but making sure it stays clean should be a top priority! Go through the following tips & product recommendations that’ll make your life oh so much easier… we guarantee it!

• Use the KRESS Kleen® JUMBO Microfiber Cloth to clean the mirror using horizontal strokes across the top, then in vertical strokes. If spots are stubborn, dampen and give it a go for a guaranteed clean wipe!
• Get rid of those annoying stray hairs on the floor by sweeping them up with a damp wad of toilet paper every morning. Alternatively, dampen a KRESS Kleen® Household Glove and give it a go. The damp rubber material is like a magnet to hair!
• Clogged sink. Remove your sink stopper and soak in hot water. After 30 minutes, clean the soap scum, gunk and hair out using distilled white vinegar. If it still clogs, plunge your way through using the KRESS Kleen® Mighty Plunger! And remember, use petroleum jelly to increase the suction of your plunger.
• For simple toilet bowl cleaning, pour a half cup of distilled white vinegar around the bowl and let it sit for a few minutes. Then scrub with the KRESS Kleen Toilet Brush. You can also clean the rim in similar fashion using vinegar & our Microfibre Cloth.
• Guess what you can use to easily clean a clogged shower head. That’s right, more white vinegar. Mix a two-to-one ratio of vinegar and water in a plasticbag. Fasten that to the shower head with a rubber band and let be for 6-8 hours.This simple trick takes care of mineral deposits left from hard water, as well as mildew build-up.
• Give your shower curtain a new life! Throw it in the wash with a few towels, which will help rub the curtain clean while also protecting the liner during the wash cycle. Then hang it back up to dry.
• Bathtub grime & soap scum have no chance of survival with the KRESS Kleen® Magic Erasers! Great for cleaning & scrubbing tiles. And all it needs its water.
• For mildewed grout in tubs or shower tiles, use the KRESS Kleen® ‘Power Scrub’ Deck brush with a 1:5 solution of chlorine bleach and water. It also has a built-in scraper for removing stubborn dirt!
